September is a Big Month in the Recruiting Process!

It’s important to understand what steps you should take during this crucial month to kick off your next step in the recruiting process.

If you are a freshman and sophomore, you will have more success in your recruiting process if you start now. You will want to create an athletic and academic resume, research colleges and universities, contact college coaches through letters and phones calls. Start to educate yourself about the recruit process.

If you are a junior, you should have a written list of colleges you are interested in attending. At this point you will begin to see college coaches showing an interest. This is a time where DI and DII coaches are allowed to correspond through email, therefore be attentive to responding with questions you might have.

If you are a senior, you should have had or in the process of getting an evaluation to let you know where you stand. You should start to have close communication with several college coaches and allow them to know what you are looking for. If you are looking into DII and/or DII note that they sometime wait till your senior year before showing you they are interested.
