It’s the Little Details that Can Make the Difference

Have you ever taped some of your most important life time memories on video, sit down to watch it, to then turn it off because it was to bouncing, to blurring, or to much camera movement. How about watching a basketball game on video and the person shooting is cut off, or can’t see the play, or to much zooming in, or not enough zooming in, or to much down time between inbound plays, or camera is moving to fast that it makes you dizzy.
Playing high school basketball is going to be a very important memory in your life. And playing college basketball is going to be even more important. So wouldn’t it make sense to have a quality video not only for you to watch, but for all those college coaches you are trying impress. I doubt you would want to send the game of your life and half of your plays have been cut off, or the video is to blurring or the video is to dark.
It’s all about the details and getting your basketball game professional videotaped is just one way for you to stand out.

How to Make Your Basketball Shoot-out Experience worth Your Time and Money

In this day and age when there are more athletes who can jump higher, run faster, dribble and shoot better, attending a basketball shoot-out is more than just showing up. You might be a great player, but you are getting over looked.

I bring to you a new valuable insight on how to make your basketball shootout experience worth your time, money and energy. It is important that you understand a valuable marketing tool that will guarantee your success. Many coaches might go to a shoot-out only to see players they all ready know, therefore taking little notice to you. Why? Because they don’t know you.

Have you ever seen a clip of a movie and then want to see the full movie? Have you ever seen a new cell phone on TV and want to go to the store to see it? Now would it make sense before you attended your next shout-out to have an email sent to the coaches, so not only do they know your name and stats they will want to see you play? Remember, your success is built on what you do today, not what you thought you should have done yesterday.

Rizzo Productions will send college coaches your personalized email so you will get noticed the day of your next basketball shoot-out.

What is One of Best Ways to Maximize Your Peak Performance?

Scheduling your training around your basketball season will build your peak performance when it comes game time. Your training layout should start with your preparation phase followed by your precompetitive phase, then your competitive phase and ending in your active rest phase.

Preparation Phase
You will develop a solid foundation of your fitness and strength.

Precompetitive Phase
You will begin training for power and focus on activities that basketball demands. Your intensity will increase and your conditioning will have more drills that provide, change of direction, acceleration and deceleration, and jumping.

Competitive Phase
You will maintain your conditioning and strength levels, keeping your workouts high intense and training for the demands of basketball.

Active Rest Phase
You will take mental and physical break and take time to cross train. You will also start focusing on low intense workouts. You should also take 1-4 weeks to rest.

At this time you are in your Precompetitive Phase, practice is right around the corner, so it’s important to start training for the demands of the game.

Gain More Power before You Step into Your first College Basketball Practice

If you are going to play college basketball you will need to take your training to the next level. Functional training is becoming more and more popular amongst high school athletes who are looking to play college basketball. Functional training is a sports specific program design, incorporating body weight in all planes of movement. The benefits of functional training will enhance your performance by producing the optimal amount of force, in the least amount of time, and through the greatest distance. A functional training program will focus on your strength, speed and agility while keeping exercises sport specific to enhance your performance. An example: Squat Jumps/w medicine ball is a functional exercise for a basketball player because the movement is similar to rebounding. You will become stronger, quicker and jump higher when rebounding a basketball because of how your training program is designed.
