Gain More Power before You Step into Your first College Basketball Practice
If you are going to play college basketball you will need to take your training to the next level. Functional training is becoming more and more popular amongst high school athletes who are looking to play college basketball. Functional training is a sports specific program design, incorporating body weight in all planes of movement. The benefits of functional training will enhance your performance by producing the optimal amount of force, in the least amount of time, and through the greatest distance. A functional training program will focus on your strength, speed and agility while keeping exercises sport specific to enhance your performance. An example: Squat Jumps/w medicine ball is a functional exercise for a basketball player because the movement is similar to rebounding. You will become stronger, quicker and jump higher when rebounding a basketball because of how your training program is designed.
